Expectation Vs Reality: A Typical Kashmiri Thinking

Our Facebook generation behaves on Facebook as if they're living like Sahaba R.A, so they expect everyone to live like them.

A typical young Kashmiri aspirant desires to obtain high degrees, highly paid job (private or govt.), a well-built 3-4 storied large palace with a beautiful garden in front, a lavish car, enough money to secure the future of his upcoming generations. Though, not everyone succeeds in filling these dreams.

And in the meantime uses Facebook, and expects pro-freedom leaders and prominent members of religious organizations to live like Sahaba RA.

What does it mean to live like Sahaba RA? It means if you earn Rs. 20,000 in one month, you will spend most of it on poor and needy and that part on yourself which is sufficient for your survival. A sahabi RA wouldn't dream of 3 story large concrete building worth crores, he would spend the money on others; he would treat every member of society like his brother and children. If your son needs, 50,000 admission fees, you will manage it at any cost, even if your family needs are cut shot for some time. Sahaba RA would treat others the same way. They wouldn't eat chicken and meat every day, while some of their neighbors would be hungry. They wouldn't buy several cars, while some people couldn't even afford bus fare. They wouldn't wear expensive dresses when others couldn't afford a second dress.

None of us wants to live like Sahaba RA. We want everything a typical Kashmiri desires. Our concept of charity and helping poor is to pay 2.5 % of Zakat, 50 Rs Sadqa e Fitr, and 10 Rupee note to few beggars. Do we want to host any homeless in our homes even though some rooms are empty? NO.
Do we want to treat orphans as our sons? No, we just want to pay them 10 Rupee note and try to behave like Hatim Tai.

When you know your condition, when you know you don't want to live like Sahaba RA, why do you expect these pro-Freedom leaders to live like Sahaba RA?

Would you offer your food to a stranger and remain hungry yourself? No. If your stomach is filled up to your pelvis, and there is additional food which will rot, then you will feed it to neighbors and strangers.

And you expect leaders to donate all their property to poor and live like poor.

Would you cancel your private B. Tech admission worth lakhs for someone to afford at least high school education? Would you cancel your admission in Burnhall and spend the money on someone else to afford a lesser quality and paid education? NO.

Then why do you expect that these pro-freedom leaders would cancel the admission of their wards from highly paid schools to spend it on the education of poor?

So when you know you can't do this, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO RAISE YOUR FINGERS OVER OTHERS.

Another thing - You study in mixed schools, send your daughters and sisters to mixed schools, mixed markets, mixed hospitals, mixed buses, you want your women to jobs in mixed offices. Everything here involves mixing of opposite genders, and you expect leaders to behave and not admit their daughters in these mixed schools.

If you can't live like Sahaba RA, you should not expect others to live like Sahaba RA? This is just hypocrisy on your part.

Just accept this reality, we are a part of big corrupt society, it seems corruption is in our genes, people from same corrupt society form all the different religious and pro-freedom political organizations, so corruption with some of them should not be a surprise and used to malign the whole cause.
P.S: I am not here to defend any leader or personality or absolve them of any corruption, neither do I believe in hero worship, be it Kaun Karega Tarjumani, or Moosa Moosa, but look at people's gutter mentality. You have every right to differ with whom you want, but stop this BULL SHIT THINKING and behave properly. When did Geelani say, Muhammad SallaAllahu Alayhi Wasallam and Aisha and Fatimah RA are not our ROLE MODELS as some morons are trying to prove?

You are not Osama Bin Laden to sacrifice billions and 5-star hotels for the caves of Afghanistan, neither you are Eidhi, so just BEHAVE.
